That’s why improving daily attendance and reducing chronic absenteeism has been a major priority for us. 🔥 Thanks to the tireless efforts of our phenomenal attendance team—who provide regular communications, family wraparound services, and exciting student incentives—and the incredible school culture we’ve built, where kids love to come to school (from engaging classrooms and passionate extracurriculars to transformative field trips), we’ve seen tremendous growth in just one quarter: ✨ Perfect attendance skyrocketed from 23% in Q1 to an amazing 58% in Q2! ✨ Students meeting the attendance goal of 92% days present jumped from 69% to 81%! The last bell 🔔 has rung and the buses 🚎 have pulled away! Semester 1 is officially in the books 📚 and winter break is here! ❄️ Reminder that Steel City Academy will be on winter break from December 20 - January 5. 📆 Students will have an asynchronous learning 🤓 day on Monday, January 6 as well as Parent-Teacher Conferences 🗣️. Students will return to in-person learning on Tuesday, January 7. The main office will be open on December 20, 23, 26, and 27th from 9 AM - 3 PM. Have a safe and joyous winter break and we'll see you in 2025! 🎉
