College GO Week is for grades K-12, as we empower students to learn about college, the military and trad e opportunities. It is important to aid all students in thinking concretely about post-secondary education and pathways, so this week is about giving students the tools that they need to succeed now and in the future! Week is supported by Learn More Indiana, whose mission is to help Hoosier students of all ages plan, prepare and pay for college completion and career success through effective communication and outreach. 🔥 #WeAreSteelCityStrong

Yesterday, during recess our 1st graders worked as a team to build their own classroom fort 🔥 After a collaborative, productive struggle our students were so proud of their achievement! What a life lesson- there is JOY in reaching your goal after persevering through the struggle! 🔥💙

In our 7th and 8th Grade Math classes, it is essential our students build the skills to work collaboratively, communicate effectively and discuss multiple methods to solve complex problems 💙
Yesterday our students participated in the Stack 'Em Up Activity - a collaborative problem solving task aimed to stack the cups without touching them and ONLY using string and rubber bands! After 10 minutes of strategizing, teams' were timed to build the highest tower in the shortest amount of time! In the final round, teams' were charged with reaching the same goal but WITHOUT talking! 🔥⚙️💙
